Premium Cedar Pergola Kits

Most of our pergola kits can be assembled in 1-2 days by two people with basic tools. Larger kits (16×16 and 20×20) may take 2-3 days. All kits come with detailed instructions and pre-cut, pre-drilled lumber to simplify the process.

Permit requirements vary by location. Generally, freestanding pergolas under 200 sq ft don't require permits in most areas, but attached pergolas and larger structures often do. Check with your local building department before starting your project.

Basic tools required include: drill/driver, level, tape measure, ladder, socket wrench set, and safety equipment. A post hole digger or auger is needed if setting posts in concrete.

Cedar and redwood can be left natural to weather to gray, or sealed/stained every 2-3 years. Pressure treated wood should be stained or sealed annually for the first few years, then every 2-3 years after.

All our pergola kits come with a 5-year structural warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Cedar and redwood kits include an additional guarantee against rot and decay for 10 years when properly maintained.
